YouNoodle Is A Terrible Idea

Magic8ballIs it just me or is this some sort of sick joke from 1999?  YouNoodle is a "company" that has launched a service where they will "tell you what your company will be worth in 3 years."  They ask for a bunch of detailed (and typically confidential) information about your company and then give some sort of answer.  Kind of a modern day version of the Magic Eight Ball.

But here's the kicker.  Buried in the terms of service, they say:

If you decide to use any Analytical Tools, we may share with certain select third parties the results obtained from the use of such Analytical Tools ("Results") (but will not disclose to any third parties any information that you provide to us in the course of using the Analytical Tools, including, but not limited to, answers that you provide in response to our questionnaire).

Ok.  Not sure what that means...they may share [results]...but will not disclose [information].  I guess that depends on what the definition of 'is' is.  But in case that's not clear, elsewhere in the ToS we read:

The Site may permit the submission and the hosting, sharing, and/or publishing of User Submissions. You understand that whether or not such User Submissions are published, YouNoodle does not guarantee any confidentiality with respect to any User Submissions.

Got it.

Well, if you read this and then use YouNoodle, you can't say you weren't warned if you see your cap table published on their blog.
